1. Copper sulfate identification method.
The method is to remove the oxide layer on the steel, add water droplets, wipe with copper sulfate, if the color does not change after wiping, it will become stainless steel purple: non-magnetic is high manganese steel, magnetic is ordinary steel and low alloy steel.
2. Magnet detection method.
The chemical composition of stainless steel is complex, the processing technology is different, and the simple method is not accurate and unrealistic.
Stainless steel flat washers can change the magnetic characteristics of stainless steel through demagnetization or magnetization processes. It is not accurate to test with magnets alone. Generally, cheap stainless steel can be demagnetized. While pretending to be high-quality stainless steel, high-quality stainless steel requires magnetism to improve operational performance.
3. Reagent detection method.
This is a fast detection method. Several detection reagents are used to detect the content range of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum in stainless steel. The advantages are convenient, fast, and basically accurate.
