Use the edge of a square hammer to tap the corroded nut to loosen it easily. For example, the nut of the fastening bolt at the middle of the pedal of a bicycle can be controlled according to the thickness and metal structure of the pedal to control the force used to hit the nut. The nuts on the cast iron parts can be tightened slightly, and the nuts on the plastic parts should be tightened lightly. If it still doesn't work, you can easily disassemble the nut by tapping the nut in a circular motion with a hammer.

Some nuts are severely corroded and the above methods are still ineffective, so you can use "fire attack". Use a gas welding oxidation flame to fully grill the screws and nuts, and then drop a trace of oil on the red-hot screws. The goal of heating the nut is to cause the nut to expand due to heat. The purpose of oil dripping is to make the screw shrink quickly when it is cold and increase the gap between the screw rod and the nut. After the oil flows in, the nut can be unscrewed. However, use this method with caution if there are plastic components nearby.

The tops of the screws of some devices are corroded and deformed, making it impossible to remove them with a wrench or wire cutters. You can also use the blow method. First, use a hammer and a flat screwdriver to punch a V-shaped groove vertically on the top of the nut. Then, adjust the angle of the punching cone and strike in the direction in which the screw is unscrewed. After it is loose, you can use wire cutters to unscrew the screw. When the "one" or "ten" screw slides, you can also use this method and use wire cutters to unscrew the nut.
Tip 5: Welding:
When disassembling a device, it is common to break the screws. For nuts with broken tops, electric drills are generally not used because the thread holes will be drilled if you are not careful. A better measure is to use electric welding to weld a long iron block on the broken wire. The cross-section of the iron block is determined by the diameter of the screw.
