1. Personal protection
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, etc. Hard hats can protect the head from falling objects from above; safety glasses can prevent the splashes that may be generated by nuts or bolts during installation from injuring the eyes; gloves can protect the hands during operation and prevent abrasions and cuts.
Wear appropriate work clothes and safety shoes. Work clothes should fit well and have no loose parts to avoid being caught by rotating parts; safety shoes should have anti-slip and anti-smashing functions to protect the safety of the feet.
2. Tool use
Ensure that the tools such as wrenches and sockets used are in good condition and are not damaged, deformed or worn. Using damaged tools may cause the nuts to not be tightened or the tools to break and fly out during operation, causing injuries.
Choose the appropriate tool according to the size of the nut and the tightening force. Tools that are too large or too small may cause inconvenience in operation and even cause safety accidents.
Use tools correctly and avoid incorrect operation methods. For example, do not add an extension rod to the wrench to increase the torque to prevent the tool from getting out of control and injuring people.
3. Operating environment
Ensure that the operating space is spacious, bright and well ventilated. Narrow spaces may limit operation and increase the risk of injury; good lighting helps accurate operation; good ventilation can prevent the accumulation of harmful gases caused by the use of certain chemical locking agents.
Clear debris and obstacles in the operating area to prevent tripping or affecting operation.
If working at height, safety belts and appropriate climbing equipment must be used, and ensure that they are firmly and reliably installed.
4. Installation process
When tightening nuts, apply force evenly to avoid sudden excessive force that may cause bolt breakage or nut thread slippage.
For nuts that need to be tightened with a large torque, a step-by-step tightening method can be used to gradually increase the tightening force to prevent danger caused by excessive force at one time.
If heating and other methods are used to install nuts, pay attention to fire safety, stay away from flammable materials, and take appropriate insulation measures.
5. Handling of special situations
If abnormal conditions such as deformation or cracks are found in nuts or bolts during installation, stop the operation immediately and replace qualified parts.
For locking nuts with special requirements, such as those using chemical locking agents, please strictly follow the product instructions to avoid safety problems caused by improper use.
