1. Use lubricants and tools
Drop lubricants: Drop a few drops of lubricants on the bolt and let it penetrate into the threads. Wait for a while for the lubricants to soften the rust and dirt on the threads.
Use a pointed hairpin or a chopper: Gently tap on the fracture surface of the bolt and try to knock the bolt out in the opposite direction.
2. Weld handles or nuts
Weld handles: Weld a handle or hexagonal nut on the fracture surface of the bolt, and then gently reverse the bolt to remove it.
3. Use a broken bolt extractor
Special tools: Use a broken bolt extractor, which is a specially designed tool that corrodes the bolt through discharge and then removes it with tools such as needle-nosed pliers.
4. Physical tapping
Use a steel roller and a hammer: Put the steel roller against the fracture of the bolt and tap it gently with a small hammer to gradually loosen the bolt.
5. Drill and re-tap
Drilling: If the bolt is too tight to be removed, you can carefully enlarge the threaded hole of the bolt and re-tap it.
6. Use an EDM machine
Electrodischarge machining: Use an EDM machine to machine a hexagonal countersink on the bolt, then use an Allen wrench to unscrew the bolt.
7. Chemical methods
Nitric acid solution: Nitric acid can corrode high-speed steel bolts but will not damage the workpiece.
8. Heat treatment
Annealing: Use an acetylene flame or blowtorch to anneal the bolt, then carefully drill out the bolt with a drill.
9. Use professional tools
Professional-grade hand drill: Use a professional-grade hand drill with forward and reverse functions to help unscrew stripped bolts.
Precautions
Safety first: Always wear appropriate protective equipment during operation, such as non-slip gloves and goggles.
Avoid damage: When trying to remove a stripped bolt, try to avoid damage to surrounding parts.
