1. Lubricant
First remove the lubricant that has penetrated around the studs. If any penetrating oil is allowed to soak into the threaded area of ​​the studs, the oil must be allowed to work for at least 6 hours before extraction. This can increase the anti-corrosion time of the studs.
2. Heating Principle
Studs are fixed to large metal items. For use such as engine blocks that require heating for extraction, use a small propane torch to heat the area around the studs. With the right socket wrench on hand, the heat will dissipate quickly. The goal is to heat the metal around the studs slightly to expand. If heat enters the bolts, the bolts will also expand and be more difficult to remove. Allow to cool and try the torch again. The penetrating oil will help temper the rust between the threads during the heating process.
