Tapping screws are often used for connection between thin metal plates. The difference between it and the ordinary self-tapping screw is its ordinary thread with a higher hardness of the arc-shaped triangular interface. This kind of excellent screw with low screwing torque and high locking performance, of course, can also tap the internal thread in the threaded bottom hole to be connected like an ordinary screw.
The wallboard self-tapping screw is used to connect the gypsum wallboard and the metal keel during decoration. This screw has a double-threaded thread with higher hardness (≥HRC53), which can be quickly screwed into the keel to form a connection, even if the prefabricated hole is not made.
When ordinary self-tapping screws are connected, they must go through two processes: drilling and tapping. Compared with ordinary self-tapping screws, self-drilling and self-tapping screws combine two processes into one when connecting. It uses the drill bit in front of the screw to drill the hole, and then directly uses the screw to tap (including the fastening connection), which not only saves time, but also improves construction efficiency.
